Welcome to Windows 11

Updated: Feb 21, 2022

Microsoft’s latest version of their famed Operating System has once again debuted with its latest edition, Windows 11.

For those who like a cleaner, non-traditional, and more mobile device friendly OS, you should consider upgrading to its latest version. Upgrading is not an immediate necessity at present since Microsoft says that will keep supporting Windows 10 up until 2025 but it is worth considering especially since they are presently offering the upgrade for free to most current Windows 10 users.

New Design and Look

This new edition of Windows has drastically changed design-wise from what we may remember from its predecessors like Windows 7 or XP. I will go in detail about some of those major design changes as well as feature and functionality changes in comparison to Windows 10.

Android Apps?

One of the major new features to this operating system is the integration of Android applications. Android apps will be available in the Microsoft Store, via the Amazon Appstore. This is something that Windows users have been waiting years for and is now native in the new Operating System. Another step towards incorporating more laptop and mobile device features into their OS.

Teams for All

Another new feature to the OS is the integration of Microsoft Teams into the taskbar. Microsoft Team is an instant messaging application which also can place audio and video calls in addition to screen sharing and group chat. Essentially it would be comparable to Microsoft’s version of FaceTime.
